Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is an actress from Germany and Romania. Her most famous films are Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born the only child to Romanian actors Valentin Platareu, Alexandra began her professional career in the show business at an early age. By the time she turned 16, Alexandra had landed prominent roles in a variety of shows on television. Following her critically-acclaimed character in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, in Downfall. Downfall received nominations for an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial great success. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the diva. Alexandra's work has led her to be involved in a variety of notable international and national projects. These comprise British biographical films like Control and The Dust of Time as along with the French history mini-series Napoleon. She has also been a juror at the Transylvania International Film Festival as and the Cannes Film Festival.
