Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania and is now an actress from Germany and Romania. Her most well-known movies include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. As the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her showbiz career as a child. Her roles included lead characters in dramas on television as young as 16 years old. Her critically acclaimed role in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including that of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge from the commercially and critically popular Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film that features this stunning actress. Alexandra is known for her involvement in many noteworthy projects both domestically and internationally. Some of these comprise British biographical films, the British Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon as well as many other. Additionally, she was an active member of jury for the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
